Wandering around Neuilly with friends over from Sweden...it was, as usual at a weekend, late after lunch and everything was full or rather "we will have a table in 10 minutes", hmm right!
We discovered Gustave. They had room, they were friendly, the place had a little buzz
The food was very good and the Faugeres washed it all down very well
Reasonably priced, a good experience, and we will definitely come here again. Oh and I asked for my steak to be well done or rather I ask for "a point plus"...as usual they said oh but it will be tough to which I always reply, not if you cook it properly...they did, it wasn't like old boots, it was delicious...Well done!

Came here with our family for dinner, and the service was some of the worst I'd ever experienced. One rude, bald waiter neglected our table all of dinner-- even gesturing dismissively when we tried to order-- and spoke shortly and rudely with everyone. When a woman at an adjacent table hesitated with her order, he aggressively cut her off, saying "NOW. I don't have time for this. Now." The next couple who sat there left because he hadn't even addressed them for half an hour.
We had to continually ask for the bill over the course of half-an-hour. When we asked for water, no one brought it. Food was passable. The air was hot and swampy, because it's poorly circulated.
At the end of our meal, Baldy even had the audacity to half-joke about asking for more tip. I do NOT recommend coming here-- especially if you're a tourist. -

Right now I'm enjoying a Gustave Mojito (5 stars) with a 5 Star salad (Salade Savoyarde w/reblochon cheese/herbs in a filo dough packet, string beans, potatoes and a myriad of other delights). I was expecting 4 star. Hence this was a most pleasant surprise.
The staff here are very nice. On a chilly November night this is a great choice. Interior is very comfortable, welcoming. They attract a local neighborhood crowd. The people sitting at tables near me were friendly. I had a great time.
I need to come back. The dishes coming from their kitchen all look wonderful. Prices are fair for high quality French food. I would have paid considerably more for the same fare in Los Angeles.
Glad I found this place tonight. Hoping to return VERY soon. -

Had lunch here and it was very good. Very quick service and nice atmosphere. Large portions, very tasty. Wine was great too. Thinking about going there for dinner as well.

Huge charcuterie, tense waiter, none of the staff ever cracked a smile, but they are quick with service. Good value for the money. Perhaps ask if they have an english menu, we forgot to, it would have been helpful, but we managed.
